Actually, there are many kinds of constellation. But this time, I will write just 4 simple kinds of constellation.
Before furthur information about Constellation, do you know what is the function of constellation besides decorates the night sky by scatter on it? :p
Ok, some Constellation are used to show cardinal directions and time. It is because, since past time, people had noticed that the stars always appears at the same time and the same condition too in the night sky. Besides, there was no compass or other sign to show direction at the time.
1. CRUX

Crux (Rasi Bintang Pari / Layang-layang) is used to show the south direction. It consists of four bright stars and its shape is simple so the people can remember this constellation easily.
This Crux is called as "Gubug Penceng" in Indonesia. Or in most countries; The Southern Cross.
2. URSA MAJOR / GREAT BEAR (Rasi Bintang Biduk)

Ursa Major (Biduk/Pedati Sungsang/Beruang Besar) Constellation is used to show the north direction. It consist of 7 bright star. If you see this one, it forms a shape like a bailer -___- Well, this constellation also known as "The Seven Stars".

The Scorpius (♏) is a gathering of stars forming a scorpion shape. It lies between Libra to the west and Sagittarius to the east. This constellation is a large one, which is located in the southern--south east--near the centre of The Milky Way.
4. ORION / THE HUNTER (Rasi Bintang Waluku/Belantik)
This constellation lies from the west to the east. When Orion is rising in the east, it becomes a sign for the farmers to start harvest their field ♥
Why it is called "The Hunter"? :D Well, in ancient Greek Mithology, Orion was a son of the sea god; Poseidon and the Cretan Princess; Euryale.
